Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 18, 2026. This policy explains what information Manning Design and Engineering Group, PLLC collects through manningdeg.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Manning Design and Engineering Group, PLLC (“Manning DEG,” “we,” “us”) is an electrical engineering and design consulting firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This website, manningdeg.com, provides information about our services. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].

Information we collect

Information you give us. If you contact us by email, phone or through a contact form, we collect the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, and the content of your message or project inquiry.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security tools may log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We may also use cookies or similar technologies to keep the site working, protect it from abuse, and understand how it is used.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information, through this website. Please do not send this information through the site or by unsecured email.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries and provide proposals or services you request, operate, maintain and secure the website, understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our rights. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not sell or share your personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

When we disclose information

We disclose personal information only to service providers who help us run the website and our business (for example web hosting, security, analytics, and email providers), and only as needed to perform those services under agreements that limit their use of the data. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights, safety and security, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.

Cookies, analytics and tracking signals

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and, where we use them, privacy-conscious analytics to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as expected. We honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as required by applicable law. Because there is no common standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, we do not respond to them separately.

Third-party links and embedded content

This site may link to or embed content from third parties, such as YouTube videos and social media pages. Those services have their own privacy practices and may set their own cookies when you interact with their content. We are not responsible for their policies, so please review them before you engage.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain business and project records and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • know and access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete your personal information;
  • obtain a portable copy of your information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising or profiling (we do not engage in these practices);
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it through this site for any purpose that would require this right); and
  • not be treated unfairly or discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, extendable once where permitted). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and if you are still not satisfied you may contact your state attorney general.

California “Shine the Light”

California residents may request information about the categories of personal information we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Visitors outside the United States

This website is operated from the United States and is intended for a U.S. audience. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the United States. You may exercise the rights described above, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

This website is directed to businesses and adults and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
